THE PRINCIPLE OF TITHING
Tithing is a biblical principle of bringing to God the first fruits of our income. Tithe, which means ‘tenth’, was part of the law of Moses in the Old Testament. It was put in place to support the work of the priests and the poor. Tithing in practice was established long before the law of Moses. We saw this with Able (Genesis 4:4), that he brought the firstborn of his flocks to the Lord. Another example would be when the founder of our Faith, Abraham, paid tithes to Melchizedek (Genesis 14:20). Tithe clearly is a biblical principle that is not exclusive to the law of Moses. Jesus was a priest after the order of Melchizedek and he was the implementor of the New Covenant by which we live. That new covenant is established upon God being first place in our lives. Tithing is act of obedience and worship to God that focuses on him being the center of all we do.
JABEZ OFFERING
The Jabez offering is i9’s annual offering on expansion and blessing. The live offering is the last Sunday of June annually but can be contributed towards throughout the year. Just add “Jabez” to your method of donation when participating.

GOD'S TITHING CHALLENGE
God even challenges us to test him in this area as stated in Malachi 3:10
“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”
Bring your tithes in and I will bless you beyond what you are capable of receiving, sounds like a pretty good deal from God
